Internet access has become something widely available in the world that helps us all on many tasks while making our lives more convenient as well. But, how does it work? My intent is give you a quick introduction into how it works, and if you are still curious you may want to continue looking further into my blog posts.
Internet is merely the name we have given to different interconnected networks all around the world. So, yes. It is just a web of many networks. For example, at home the wifi is a local network which interconnects all your devices (phones, computers, tablets, smart devices, …), in general we don’t want to interconnect with our neighbors devices but we want to have connectivity with our email service from google for example or the streaming service from Disney. It turns out Disney needs to have it’s own network of servers that will send you the movies when you request them, so the internet is our bridge towards the Disney network and much more other networks.

Once you setup your wifi on your device, it gets automatically connected and now you have access to the internet through your Internet Service Provider(ISP). Then you can write a known web address on your browser like http://www.disney.com and get presented with that server web homepage.

This is a very simple introductory narrative of how it happens. If you are curious about more specific details follow the links on the following posts.
